Looking for a PhD scholarship in the field of Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology?

These are the thematic areas identified by PASET (Patnership for skills in Applied Sciences, Engineering and Technology), of which (RSIF) Regional Scholarship and Innovation Fund is a flagship programme. 

Over 100 African scientists will receive fully funded Phd scholarships in 11 African Universities with the intention to boost technical and scientific capacity, to advance transformative technologies, so as to tackle the continents greatest challenges.

The aim of these scholarship is to bridge the skills for a sustainable economic growth in sub-saharan Africa through support of Phd training, research and innovation.

The 11 African Host Universities have been competitively selected and offer atleast one Phd programme in any of the thematic areas identified by PASET. These thematic areas include: information communication technologies (ICTs) including big data and artificial intelligence; food security and agribusiness; minerals, mining and materials engineering; energy including renewables; and climate change.

The African Host Universities will work collaboratively with highly recognised international institutions. 

RSIF is currently funded by contributions from African governments, the World Bank and the Government of Korea; with the International Centre of Insect Physiology and Ecology serving as the Regional Coordination Unit (RCU).
