The Department of Geology, University of Nairobi expresses its gratitude to Petroleum Experts for generously donating to the School 10 academic licenses of “Move 2019.1” Structural geology software worth £ 1,601,839.98 (one million six hundred and one thousand eight hundred and thirty nine pounds sterling and ninety eight cents) for academic, research and teaching purposes.
The Department of Geology, University of Nairobi (UoN) in collaboration with Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources (BGR) have jointly organized and hosted the Petroleum Geology Summer School under the title “Fueling Economic Development – The Potential of Energy Resources in East Africa” held between 13th May and 1st June 2019.
On Saturday, November 19, 2016, the College of Biological and Physical Sciences students’ leaders were trained on essential leadership skills. The training, which took place at the University of Nairobi Tigoni Guest House, was conducted by trainers from People Strategy Results (PRIMO). The student leaders were accompanied by the acting Principal, Prof. Weke, the College Registrar, Mr. Mbali, the Assistant Dean of students, Ms. Lucy Jiomba and the student Counselor, Ms. Lucy Kamau.
