‘Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW)’ for his devotion and commitment to service, to the Country and the Government of Kenya. was recognized for his initiative and  active participation in The Kenya Government Task Force on the Delineation of Kenya’s Outer Continental shelf beyond the 200 nautical mile limit of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ), as per Article 76 of the participation of the United Nations Convection on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).

Ms. Gladys Kianji

She was recognized for her full participation in the Seismological Data Acquisition Campaign of the Kenya Government Task Force on Delineation of Kenya’s Outer Continental shelf beyond 200 nautical mile limit of the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).  Ms. Gladys Kianji

Dr. Silas Simiyu

Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S) for his contribution to the development of the nation in the geothermal energy sector. Dr Simiyu was instrumental in the development of the 35 MWe Olkaria II power plant and the drilling of 62 geothermal wells for the Olkaria IV and V power plants. He was also involved in the development of a businness model for establishing a special purpose vehicle to spearhead geothermal development in Kenya, which eventually culminated in the establishment of Geothermal Development Company (GDC).
